Our Wedding Philosophy: Reserve a Place for Unexpected for your Wedding in Italy

Living a destination Wedding in Italy is a Dream for many couples, but for other couples who aren’t well prepared during the planning it’s something that could turn into a nightmare if they don’t know Italy at all or aren’t ever been in Italy.

Being in Rome, Milan, Florence, Turin or Naples for a short stay for whatever reason doesn’t give an idea of the whole Italy system: it’s only a nice but too short tasting that doesn’t give any idea of what Italy is.

Forget cliches: Italy is just a few steps later you are used to know and walk. Any destination, from the smallest to the biggest, from North to South, has always something more: more mix of cultures than you imagine, forget the NY melting pot you are used to see in your own country, more food dictionary than you imagine that go beyond the pasta dishes or typical meat or seafood. More communities from the smallest to the biggest: what Italian people do nowadays isn’t the same of Italian people in the Sixties were used to do. Many spaces unfortunately have become so crowded that you can’t even imagine the consequences of this, and many other spaces and destinations that were considered “hidden gems” are now flourished in a sky full of newborn stars: Gerace in Calabria, Monreale in Sicily, Castelsaraceno in Basilicata, Oratino in Molise, Viterbo in Lazio, Cingoli in Marche which is considered the Balcony of Marche, Arezzo in Tuscany, Genova in Liguria, Livigno in Lumbardy, now called the small Tibet, Borutta in Sardinia, every region has its newborn stars of tourism, but not in the kind of tourism you usually know of Italy. The +52% registered in small old villages and slow tourism paths talk about something more precious than a common wedding tourism trend: it relates about a slow attitude.

I’m happy to give my small contribution with this private small blog in my site to spam new perspectives of wedding tourism, which embraces this new attitude of Slow Tourism that I completely agree with, and that is fully compatible with my Philosophy of destination Wedding in Italy. Being slow, having a slow walk, embracing that particular way of lifestyle reveals you new small corners of Italy, a hidden artisanal shop selling handicraft products, those forgotten arts that many don’t know of Italy, for example where are Tombolo products, a particular way of lace working which is amazing, or encarving of woods products or stone products…….

It’s with my renovated spirit of working for my couples embracing the philosophy of knowing Italy by new sides and the more authentic ways to work on their wedding in Italy that I just want to invite you to embrace the unexpected in Italy.

It doesn’t mean working with no track or with lackness of serious planning, on the contrary it means hiring those trained professionals who truly understand and know even the smallest corners of Italy, who were born there and can explain you any invisible nuance of Italian culture, that isn’t encapsulated in any Italian metropolis that is often almost equal to your own country’s capital city. This uniformisation is an a modern aspect of inclusion that is international and belongs to the megalopolis system and is fine, but don’t expect to understand local culture in nowadays crowded big cities that seem all equal, except for the arts and architecture that are different of course: they are ok for a 1 or 2 days trip, but not for your Destination Wedding in Italy.

If you are ready to discover the unexpected and leave cliches behind the door and finding new ideas for your Destination Wedding in Italy, contact me here and let’s have a talk about your wedding plans.
